This slab’s the main reason I came back to Morocco. Saw it 14 years ago and have dreamed of scoring it ever since. The wave’s fickle, empty, and hazardous.
My foot’s still blown, but the swelling’s gone down after a week of rest. It’s painful to surf on, but works as long as I hold one line.
Today’s the first time the slab’s worked in over a month. As I was suiting up to crack it this morning, the sun came over the mountain and the wind picked up, blowing straight onshore, 20 minutes after I shot the photo sequence.
The wind’s been clocking around in the evenings, so I’m heading back to the slab now, hope it’s on!
