Greg Noll is the man. Had the chance to spend a couple weeks with him on Tavarua, and found out he’s one of the funniest, coolest, and most classic surfing icons ever.
I’ve always appreciated what Greg has done for surfing, but wasn’t until that Tavarua trip that he became one of my favorite hero’s. Learned so much about where the art of surfing came from, and all kinds of interesting details about how his crew transformed surfing through the early years. Nowadays, Greg loves fishing.
Billabong is known for partnering up with legends in their marketing – they did so with Metallica, and more recently ran a bunch of product stamped with Bob Marley. Really stoked to see them working with Greg.
The limited run of 200 pairs of collectors edition black-and-white trunks are individually numbered and signed by Greg. The auction begins today (March 22nd) with opening bids set at $200.
