Even as a small child, I never liked SeaWorld. Unlike most, I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up in the ocean surfing with dolphins and other wild and fee animals.
Because of the interactions I’ve had with wild animals in their natural environment, I was never able to wrap my head around imprisoning them for the sole selfish purpose of human amusement.
This dislike extends past SeaWorld to each and every confining zoo, circus, rich man’s pet fetish, and animal featured theme park around the world.
Yes, I understand that there are bigger problems in the world than caged and abused animals, and that these exhibits can be very fun for the family, but it’s necessary to do our part toward global solutions on every level.
So, I highly recommend watching Blackfish while it’s still in select theaters and boycotting businesses who make money off of caged animals.
